hey i have anS3 vierge grapihs card in my p2 win98 se computer i notice on the card it has S-video output. my question is how do i use that S-video to output to a tv i have an s-video lead pluged in from the pc to the telly but no picture and i can find no were on the pc that activates it any one know how to make it work any help appriceated

This is probably related to drivers. I have located a driver on the DriverGuide site for the S3 Virge GX2 that includes tv-output drivers. I have no idea if these are official drivers from the manufacturer, so take note of the download disclaimer on the site.

This post in a newsgroup indicates a possible solution of using a DOS command to switch to TV-out.

Both of these links are for S3 Virge GX2 card, if you have a different card search google, google groups and the DriverGuide site to try to locate drivers that support tv-out.

Just to add one thing to what Tony said, make sure that the entire chain from computer to TV is S-video. If it goes through a VCR e.g. that doesn’t have S-video, then you won’t get a picture.

hey i gave thoes dos commands a go and they were not founf said it was either a bad command or bad file name or something like that, now what i would like to know is if i can start my pc up automatically into TV mode?

i would also like to ask why is it i cant view videos in full screen on my pc im guessing it must be the graphis card
