I have a worksheet that is behaving strangely. I am entering an if formula in cell I18 =if(C18=””,””,$L$11) this formula is used to fill the next 25 rows. The formula works when data is initially entered in C18 however the formula in cell I18 is being replaced with the value of L11. I have similar formulas elsewhere in the workbook and they work just fine. I haven’t seen this happen before and I am at a loss as to how to correct the problem.
    Thanks

Could you attach a stripped down copy of the workbook? Remove everything not needed to illustrate the problem, and remove or replace sensitive data.

Interesting – when I copy just the one sheet and remove any links to the original workbook the problem goes away. I am only referencing the one sheet with my formula.

I originally thought that the problem may have been caused by a protection error but it turns out that the problem was that I was using the cell as the control source for one of my user forms.

Thanks for your suggestion it set me on the right path to the problem.
