Excel File Open Error Message

Hi, I have a file I saved at 1:55 EST USA time. I went to open it 10 minutes later and got this error message:

“Excel found unreadable content in …” I tried recovering but when I do all the formulas, formatting, etc is lost. The file is too large to put out here.

Any ideas on what I can do to recover the file without all the loss in formatting, formulas, etc?

It would appear your file is corrupt and in such cases there aren’t many options. There are some recovery services who claim to be able to at least partially restore files, but they tend to be expensive. I’m afraid the best alternative may be to go to your most recent backup.
