Excel 2003: Not prompting to close (2003)

We have a user that is having a problem with Excel 2003. When she modifies an Excel spreadsheet and she x’s out of the programs, it does not prompt her to save the spreadsheets. I checked the knowledge base on microsoft.com and the only thing that I could find has to do with the Remove Hidden Data Add in. I looked on her computer and she does not have that add-in (unless it was in one of the Windows XP updates or hotfixes). Can anyone help? Thanks!

Could she have code running that sets the “Saved” property of a workbook to True? The code could be in her Personal.xls workbook, in an add-in or in a workbook that is loaded automatically. See Jan Karel Pieterse’s article about Startup Problems for details on how to check for these, and how to disable them temporarily for testing purposes.
