I’d managed to drag the width of the report ever so slightly wider than the right margin. The second pages were that piece of white space that hadn’t fitted on the previous page.
Yes, my previous message had mislead you all – the report had actually numbered pages 1 of n, then blank, then 2 of n, … which was the clue really.
