• Events don’t fire!

I’ve got a new client, and am making some changes to their database.

Obviously created by an amateur. Very simple, no code. One thing I’m doing is splitting the db and adding a splash screen to detect if it needs relinking. But my code doesn’t execute! The form events never seem to fire! Access2010, full version. In design mode the control event is connected to an Event Procedure, and I can modify the procedure, but it never fires. Similar problem on another form, where even the code behind a Click event of a button never executes. It all worked fine on my system.

Is there some setting somewhere I’m missing, which says “Don’t execute code”?

Rats, I figured it out. I thought I had checked Trust Center settings, but apparently not (or had looked at wrong one). “Macro Settings” wasn’t set to “enable all macros”.

Thanks for posting the solution ;).
