I am looking for a software app or tool to allow me to Export the details from the Event Viewer section. I need to be able to Export or in some manor pull all the Event log Details so I can E-mail them to a Vendor for support. The built in Export feature only Export a list of the events, But I also need to be able to Export the details of each event. By detail I mean the information displayed in the pop-up window you see when you look at the details for any Event.

Instead of “Export List”, try “Save Log File As…” .

        Thanks StuartR for quit response

        OK, that works,
Now the question is what can I open and read it with that will give me the data in a usable format.
I tried a text edit of this file but it unusable when read in this manor.

Ok must be asleep at my end,,
Save it as a text file makes it easier to read.
Thanks again for the support and excuse my stupidity tonight. .

See Event Log Explorer – Windows event log management, security, system analyzer, archiver, report, backup tools – FSPro Labs. From the same page:

“Main features and benefits of Event Log Explorer at glance:

Multiple-document or tabbed-document user interface depending on user preferences

Favorites computers and their logs are grouped into a tree
Manual and automatic backup of event logs
Event descriptions and binary data are in the log window
Advanced filtering by any criteria including event description text
Quick Filter feature allows you to filter event log in a couple of mouse clicks
Log loading options to pre-filter event logs
Fast navigation between events with bookmarks
Compatibility with well-known event knowledgebases (EventID.com and Microsoft knowledgebase)
Print and export to different formats.
            Export log to different formats”

free for personal use. Fairly inexpensive for other uses. From Order – Event Log Explorer – FSPro Labs:

            “Personal license

FREE personal license is available for personal non-commercial use. It doesn’t allow you to connect more then 3 computers. It comes with limited technical support over Forum. Free license valid for a half year. After the expiration, you can renew your free license.”
