    Hello friends,

I have this question for you:

How many processes are running after fresh Windows 10 (1809) installation and after connecting to the internet? Clean desktop, no apps except procmonx64.exe.

After several guesses, I will post my screenshot here, its already waiting to be published 🙂
Winner (the closest estimation) will win my undying admiration and free license for SoftPerfect Network Scanner. I get bunch of these for translating that program into Czech.

“Clean desktop, no apps except procmonx64.exe.”

      Including Microsoft’s store 50 g****be apps ?

      • #2293730

Yes, including all these ****** so-called apps 🙂

It is clean instllation of Windows 10 1809 PRO. After first login, I made no changes.

You buy computer, you get OoBE. You go through the OoBE process and you connect to the internet and you plug in flash drive and launch procmonx64 to see the number of processes.

Best guess was by anonymous, but since I have no chance of identifying that user, the second one wins 🙂 How can I pass the license key for you? Send message to your profile would do the job.. posting our email addresses here does not seem to be the best solution, right?

              You can use DM.

Don’t post your email address in a Reply/Topic for security reasons.

      🤔

      🍻

Just because you don't know where you are going doesn't mean any road will get you there.

If nothing was changed, it should be about the same as Home.  BTW, Fedora’s some kind of Linux thingy.  It’s blue.

      Or a hat.

      76?

My 1909 Pro with a buncha stuff installed, after a buncha stuff was removed or disabled,  has about 100 processes going right now.  After adding and subtracting bunchas, 76 emerged.

Fedora is Linux Red Hat mainly developped in Brno, Czechia. It uses RPM packages, which are some kind of simillar to Windows installations. And it is blue.

Wait, those are two computers in your signature.

      I’ll stick with 76 🙂

I’ll guess that a fresh out of box experience version of Windows 10 1809 PRO will have at least 150 running processes.

… wait, which of these? Clean install or freshly bought?

Because the as-bought case would often have those OEM add-ons we so love…

And the winner is.. Anonymous, congrats 🙂

This screenshot is with internet connection. Usually it is about 130-150 processes by my experiences. Some of these can be background chencking for drivers and optimizing my OS, but I am honest with you. This screenhot was taken approx one minute after logiing in and connecting to the internet.
