eRoom and Excel Problems (XL2002)

We are just beginning the initial rollout of eRoom from Documentum. I remember seeing a comment about a problem with editing Excel files in eRoom. But a search of the major Excel boards has not turned up anything.

Is anyone familiar with eRoom? If so, has Excel editing been a problem?

Replies

used e-rooms some time ago (12+months) and the main problem we had was keeping a handle on changes to the documents (not just excel). This wasn’t a software problem, more the human interface problem – we noted all of these errors with the comments “MMIE” – Man Machine Interface Error, or “Loose nut on keyboard”.
Can’t recall any specific problem with Excel other than linking workbooks was not possible (paths unknown etcetera).
