When I clicked on the book-like button in the Envelopes and Labels, it showed two contacts folder selections. one of these two contacts folders showed no data. How to get rid off this “blank” folder?

In Outlook, do you have two folders named Contacts, one perhaps in a second PST? Remove the blank one from being an Outlook Address Book.

        jscher2000,

It seems that there is only one Contacts folder in my Outlook.

        jscher2000,

What is the second .PST? I do have a backup PST in another hard drive.

Good to see you got a solution. From your folder tree, it appears you have three PSTs open, the main one (Outlook Today) and two others (Archive and Hotmail).

Not sure if this will work for you but most times when there is a “ghost” contact listed, it’s because it got setup in your Mail profile as an extra address book. You might want to try the following:

      Exit Outlook
      Start, Control Panel, Mail
      Click on Email Accounts
Click on View or Change existing directories, click Next
      Click Outlook Address Book
      Click Change
Find the “ghost” Contact listed and hit Remove Address Book

Let me know if that helps.
