I like to copy the Wisdom of Woody into Word documents, for future reference. When I highlight my WOW email text and paste into Word, I see those “enter key” symbol arrows, which I imagine to be a carriage return, forcing my document text into short lines.
OK, so I go and look up the “search and replace the ^p” approach to eliminating this problem. However I get only one replacement, and that is at a paragraph point.
I imagine that there is some HTML character I should be asking Word to F&R. I’ve tried a few ineffective searches. Could someone tell me what I should be asking Word to F&R for this type of character? Am I right in this?
    Thanks for your assistance!

The symbol you are looking is called a “Manual Line Break” in the list of “Special” things you can search for from the Find and Replace dialog box. You can use ^l (lower case L) to enter this manually.
