confusedWhen I open a query I get “Enter Parameter downtime.tower_chair_no” dialog. I can leave the parameter blank and everything still works. The field used to exist in the table the query is based upon, but was not needed, so I deleted it from the query and then deleted it from the table.

Now, the only way I can get the dialog to stop coming up is to put the field back in the table as a dummy field. Apparently there is some reference to the field in the query even though the field is not included in the query.

Is there any way I can figure out what the reference is so that I can finally get rid of the dummy field. (Not a big deal to leave the field in, it just bugs me to have a field I don’t use).

    Thanks,
    Dan

Is it in the Parameters list? (With your query open in design, select Query | Parameters… from the menus)

Found the problem, there was a field in the query which was an expression refering to the useless field. After deleting it, I no longer get the dialog.

Not sure, but may have originally deleted the field from the table when it was still included in the query, and the expression was created at that time. I did not see the field until just now. blush blush
