    Hi,
Does anyone know of a solution to the attached JPG? It is a screenshot of an email I just got. This has happened more than once, and from more than one sender. The **ultimate** solution is for the sender to size their images correctly.

But in lieu of that – does anyone know of a setting in Outlook 365 that basically says “no matter what size the embedded image in an HTML email is – resize it to fit the window” ?

It’s annoying to have to scroll side to side to read the text simply because there is a HUGE image in the email distorting everything.

Thanks for any pointers – my searches (here and Google) are coming up empty.

    Cheers,
    Bill

As far as I’m aware the sender has to edit the photos.  There’s no setting but there are some tools to help.

I have this problem and I see it as an Outlook client problem, because the same email messages display correctly on my iphone in the gmail app.  I have googled for help and seen various Microsoft forum Q&A that indicate many people have this issue, at least with the version of Outlook included in Microsoft 365.  Apparently there is a “New Outlook” client that does not have this problem, but I can’t use it because it does not read old .pst files.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, on New Outlook (we have a love / hate relationship with New Outlook and still utilize Classic Outlook when required, such as creating / reading PST files and managing multiple calendars, especially from the perspective of an Executive Assistance) the image does not resize to the window.

Not sure where the claim ““New Outlook” client that does not have this problem” and heh who knows that it may have been fixed by the time my Monday rolls around, though I had a colleague 2 weeks ago miss-read an email by not realizing they were only seeing part of the supplied screenshot.

          Take care,

I have found that in Outlook 365 if I click on “Forward” then in that window I can resize the overly large images so I can read the message.
