• embed Excel in Word (97/SR2)

    I am embedding an Excel block of cells with data into a Word template inline. It worked but doesn’t display the Excel cells unless I double-click the large blank rectangle where I pasted special. It shows up in Print Preview, but I need it to display for users without their clicking on it. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

      When making Word documents, I usually just highlight the desired cells in Excel, then copy, move to Word, and paste. Will this work for you? …J.Till

      Sounds like you have Word set to display the ‘Picture placeholders’ and not whatever it is you have embedded.

      Check the settings in: Tools | Options | View tab. Under the ‘Show’ section uncheck the ‘Picture placeholders’ box.

        Thank you so much. I unchecked Picture Placeholder and it appears.

        Is it possible to place bookmarks in the embedded Excel cells to be filled in by a VBA userform run from the Word template? Thank you again.
