Is there software out there that will allow one to search for an email address if you know the person’s name?

Thanks Joe for your suggestion. However, the problem is considerably more complicated than just accessing a search engine. Many of the names that I need email address for are foreign (Japanese) and their names are too common making identification difficult if not impossible. What I really need is a specific site (if there is such a site) dedicated to finding an email address from a given name. Pete

Searching for an e-mail address based on name presumes that the holder of the address has it listed somewhere that they want that address to be found. You may find some of these on social networking sites or various user forums where they might make such addresses public. More often than not, unless you have a memebership with most sites that have forums, you will not be able to see the e-mail addresses. This is done to prevent bots from gleaning spam lists. it sounds like you have quite a daunting task ahead of you.

What Doc said, plus the fact that people change their email addresses or have several at once. I have 5. Then there’s guerrillamail.com, which gives you an email address for 60 minutes, long enough to register at a questionable site….
