When looking for something besides Thunderbird and Outlook found EM client….by far a superior but lesser known client…..really easy to transition to Gmail….Free and paid versions.

I was going to give eM a whirl but the free version won’t do more than 1 or 2 accounts (I have 5 or 6) and I’m not sure if Pro continues to get security updates without upgrading – lifetime upgrades doubles the cost.

      cheers, Paul

Having supported customers on all of the other clients, I wholeheartedly recommend emClient paid version for all windows users.

And because all of the stable email providers are moving to only supporting IMAP, I suggest MailStore Home for a local archive of all your email.

      eM Client acquires Postbox Inc.

eM Client has officially acquired Postbox Inc., a well-established email application for Windows and macOS. As part of this transition, Postbox Inc. will be winding down its operations. What does this mean for existing Postbox customers?..

A slight caveat on eM Client. My wife, after using it successfully for several years, found an email claiming she was using it for commercial purposes and must buy a commercial licence. That was not true. We emailed back and they said they would whitelist the domain we use (a personal domain used for family purposes). 4 days later, however, they blocked her.

I sent another email asking them (in no uncertain terms) to unblock the domain – we’ll see what happens.

OK – they sorted it out after my second, slightly stroppy, email. My wife still was lacking email for a couple of days – annoying but not a serious problem.
