      Huh. This is not an area that is well known for Muslims. But there were fireworks earlier tonight from our new neighbors (who I have not yet met). I Googled to try and figure out what they may be celebrating, but came up with nothing.

      And here I stumble upon the answer anyway. Neat.

      Woody, I assume you are Muslim?

      Isn’t there a separate forum for religious statements? If not, there ought to be. Or not, depending on whether it’s considered relevant to this site. I don’t have a particular view one way or the other, but I admit that the topic surprised me considerably.

      Don’t know how the “thanks” items get added, but Thank You!

      There are always unspoken rules.

      Rule #1: The owner owns, it’s his house, his rules.

      You can always start a new Topic in the Rants forum if you think Woody shouldn’t be allowed to make his own call on where his topics should be placed in his own forum.

      Someone just wished you happiness. Just roll with it and be happy!

      Someone’s family apparently took the fun out of dysfunctional (and replaced it with just plain old-fashion churlishness).

      @Noel Carboni

      Totally agree.

      I am atheist but if someone wishes me “happiness” then for sure I will happily embrace that and thankfully accept those good wishes.

      Far far better than the other side of the coin.

      As per the song, I keep saying “Don’t worry, be happy”ย  as I try and struggle with the fiasco of Win10.

      No need to censor or delete.

      I lived in Saudi Arabia from 1979 to 1985. I lived in Phuket, Thailand, which has a large Muslim population, from 2000 to 2014. I routinely send (and occasionally post) season’s greetings for Christians, Jews, Buddhists and Hindus, as well as Muslims. And Americans. And even, heaven forfend, Brits, Germans, Ozzies and Kiwis. Although I’ll admit I’ve never sent out greetings for Apple’s special days or Penguins, for that matter.

      If you find season’s greetings offensive then, by all means, go elsewhere!

      Let’s be inclusive and include greetings for frapper:

      Whyย  are you so penguinist? Don’t they deserve happy days?
