Of the non-Outlook email programs, are there any that allow editing of received messages as Outlook does?

I think you can only edit the subject line of received messages in Outlook. Is that what you want?

No – Outlook 2010 has an ACTIONS selection that allows full editing of messages.
I’m looking for this capability in Non_Outlook email software.

Yes, you’re right; after opening the message, Actions does permit Edit then Save even in the Inbox.

I don’t know what other email program would allow something similar.

        Hi ghurlbut,

I don’t know if this will help but I use Windows Live Mail 2011,and if I want to edit a received email I drag a copy of it to a text file, change the file extension from .eml to .txt, perform the editing, rename the file extension to .eml, then delete the original received message and drag a copy of the edited message to the relevant email folder. Finally, I delete the message from the text file.

        This works for me.

        Best regards, Roy
