• Edit Hyperlink dialog (Word97/NT)

    Hi

I want to use Dialogs(wdDialogEditHyperlink), but wdDialogEditHyperlink doesn’t exist. Is it there under a different name?

To give some context, I’m writing a macro to check all the hyperlink fields in my Word document and find out if any are pointing to a drive (rather than the web).

Try Dialogs(wdDialogInsertHyperlink). If the insertion point is in a hyperlink, the dialog title changes from Insert to Edit.

Disclaimer: only checked on Word 2002 (Office XP).

        Hi Jefferson

When I try it, “Dialogs(wdDialogInsertHyperlink).Display” gives me “variable not defined”???

ADDED LATER: Ah, I’ve just noticed your “Disclaimer: only checked on Word 2002 (Office XP)”. Looks like 97 didn’t have it.

        Thanks
        Dale

Did Word 97 support hyperlinks? I can’t remember… pathetic, eh? If so, another possibility is to “execute” the toolbar button which calls up the dialog. One usually does this with the Id of the control. See post 162553 for generic information on what I mean. smile
