I just edited a post https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/godmode-works-in-21h2/#post-2406891 that I had made in the thread 57 minutes earlier.

I was surprised when I posted the edited comment that since it had been almost one hour since I had made the original post that the edit was not reflected in the newly edited comment when I posted it.

I don’t recall how long a time period before an edit “marker” shows up in the edited post. Is it an HOUR? I thought it was a much shorter time period.

Browser is Basilisk 20.21.12.13 on Windows 10 21H2.

Ahhh..guess I answered my own question as the comment above was edited and posted right after one hour and I see an edit mentioned…so I guess you can edit a post up to one hour after posted and it will not reflect that you did so but reflects “edit” after one hour. Didn’t it use to be shorter time period to edit with no indication you did so?

Every time you edit a post you get a check box “Keep a log of this edit:” which allows you to choose whether the edit gets recorded.

For a reply, that check box is unchecked by default.

For a topic (the first post in a new thread), that check box is checked by default.

(I find that difference illogical, and annoying as it’s tricky to spot.)
