Ebay on menu bar? (IE6)

I have suddenly got an ebay logo on my menu bar in IE. Any ideas of why or how to get rid of it? My menu bar now says File| Edit| Favourites| Tools| Help| ebay

I dont use ebay and am a bit alarmed.

Is there an entry in Add/Remove programs to uninstall this?

No there was not. But I uninstalled the last bit of software that I had installed and the logo disappeared.

This was some software that I was testing. Yes, shareware, but I read the EULA (as all good loungers are trained to do) and had not seen anything that suggested that it would do this.

I guess it just goes to show that we can never let our guard down.

Could you share the name of the software you installed so that the rest of us can avoid this little “problem” as well ??

I am a bit ahsamed to admit that I wanted to copy some Australian movies for a friend who is working in Cairo. The software was CloneDVD.

I didn’t try it out after all that, and will keep an eye out in shops for what I want to send to her.

If you decide to try the software again look for a ‘custom’ option when installing it. Many times the default is to install every little piece of that the vendor has crammed in.
