    Hello all,
I’m not sure if this Free version 7.0.1 Has all the “tools” with it that the 6.5.1 Master Pro version has, but its worth checking out. http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ It’s only for today (Feb-2-11) Regards Fred

PS: Keep in mind that if you install this it will wipe out the previous version…so if you don’t like it … your stuck with it and can’t go back, ….unless you made an Image beforehand ..you did didn’t you?

Thanks for the info Fred. I’m glad I grabbed the Pro v6.5.1 a few weeks ago when it was offered free. I haven’t actually needed to use it yet, because I also have Partition Wizard and few needs for partitioning, but who knows what the future will bring. Nice to have both.

        Ted ,
Hello… Yes 6.5.1 is the best offer so far …this one has some “EULA” stuff that i don’t like. I also have several “partition managers” and like EASEUS the best so far. It’s nice to be able to run from within “Windows” and has a nice GUI (user interface) Seems that some of the “free programs” are somewhat “crippled” so as to get you to purchase the “full” program … at a “special price” Regards Fred

          Hello all,
I installed 7.0.1 on my HP pc in order to resize two partitions: the original Vista partition, and the Windows 7 upgrade partition (I kept the original Vista partition when I upgraded to Win7). First, of course, I backed up the entire hard drive to my WHS. The repartitioning operation has been running for 48 hours now – the hard drive access light is still blinking regularly – but the progress statistics haven’t changed for more than 24 hours… Any advice?
          Regards, Doug

            Doug,
Hello…and welcome. First , what is “WHS” ? and no your partitioning should not take more than the “minutes” category and not the “hours” Lets start from the beginning.

            1. Explain how and where you have made your backup image.

            2. What “partition manager” are you using ?

            3. Do you plan on doing the “dual boot thing” with Vista and “7”?

            4. When you Boot up your PC now what happens?

            Regards Fred

      1. My Windows Home Server
      2. Easeus Partition Master Home Edition 7.0.1
      3. Yes. That’s the way I have been doing it.
      4. I haven’t shut it down or tried to reboot. I’m _still_ waiting for the operation to finish.

      Here’s what the screen says:

      Easeus Partition Master Boot Mode
      2 Operation of 2
      Moving and Resizing Partition
      Hard Disk: 1
      File System: NTFS
      Drive Letter: C:
      Start Sector: 799850496 ==> 153709920
      Partition Size: 208614 MB ==> 524112 MB
      Cluster Size: 4KB
      55% Total Progress
      10% Current Operation
      100% Preparing Operation

The hard drive led is blinking periodically at a rate better than once per second. The pc has been in this state since early Wednesday morning (2Mar11).

      Thanks for replying!

        Doug,
Hello…. It sounds like EASEUS has gone into some kind of loop and will not finish…no matter how long you “let her run” At some point your going to have to “pull the plug” and re-boot, see whats up. If you have to recover. There are many free partition managers out there, Partition Wizard, Pmagic, etc… i have used this one several times http://gparted.sourceforge.net/download.php You have to create a “boot disk” from the .iso and then run it from your CD / DVD player at boot time. As far as EASUS 7. blah blah , i have not used that version so i can’t say that it’s without some kind of bug . EASEUS 6.5.1 works for me and have used it several times. Regards Fred

PS: it’s easier to set up you partitions before you load a new OS, than switching things around afterward.

I’ve got the same problem, it goes to 35% of the job and then goes into a loop. No idea what the solution will be but I’m going to email EASUS and see what they know

Yea I know exactly what the Easeus Partition Master was & I still don’t really like the UI of it.
If you look at Norton Partition Magic you’ll see what I mean as they have the same identical UI…
Personally I use & think that Acronis Disk Director 11 is one of the best out there
for partition management as well as operating system selector / activator.
Super easy to use & a fantastic UI. Easy on the eyes.
The only downside is you have to pay for it, but it was worth it to me.

No, I don’t work for them of say run out and get it…just stating an opinion. :;):

In case no-one’s noticed, the relevant website says “Sorry, we no longer offer Norton Partition Magic.”

Having recently acquired a new Seagate drive, I’m now finding Seagate DiscWizard a free, version of Acronis does what I want – so far.

Nor have I found much wrong with the free version of Partition Wizard from MiniTool.
