Yesterday I had 500 e-mails to read, today when I went to read them they were gone. Netscape wanted me to set up a new
account. Can someone help me get my e-mails back????
    Thanks

I don’t use NS 7, but it sounds like your profile has gotten lost or NS has lost its way to the profile. You ought to first search your hard drive (unless you already know the name of the folder) for your NS user data. I’ve seen cases where the PREFS.JS file gets lost or corrupt and NS behaves the way you describe. If you can find the folder structure of your profile, i.e. Users | username, etc., then I’d run NS’s Profile Manager and try to “create” the same username. NS used to say something like: “…already exists. Do you want to use….” to which you would say YES.

Look for a file called “Inbox” (with no extension) & that had yesterday’s date. If you search for all inbox files, you’ll may see an old one & a new (current) empty one. With NS closed, move the new inbox to, say, the desktop & copy in the old one. See if you get your emails back.
      Hope this helps.
