    Hi all,

I don’t know if this is the right place for this post, so I’m relying on the moderator to move it accordingly, Thanks.
Also I don’t frequent this forum so maybe this has already been addressed.

    Now to my problem.
I’m being told by several e-mail recipients that they are unable to view my e-mails with pics attached or embedded in the e-mail. The text part is fine but no pics (which are usually jpg formats and are usually forwarded from other e-mails I receive). This seems to happen to most but not all of my e-mail recipients. In addition there is one friend that I’m unable to view e-mail pics that he sends me.
I believe the problem exist on the senders side but I’m unable to track a specific area to “fix”. Any one know how or where I might look to solve the problem?

    What I’m using:
    Win 7 64 bit
Roadrunner web based e-mail client (there doesn’t seem to be any place on the mail page to change how e-mail is sent)
Firefox latest version (most features set to default)

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

Sorry I can’t give you the exact fix. But A friend of mine using Outlook Express 6.00.2900.5931had the same problem he went through the options but couldnt fix it so he called microsoft support & he says that he was on the right track just that he didn’t go deep enough into the options to change how outlook handles attachments. As far as I know his Outlook is still working right.

It gets more interesting. Recently I forwarded an e-mail with embedded graphics to about a dozen people. All but one received without problem. The one was using G-mail. It told him it was a zip file but without the suffix (.zip) attached. Go figure.

Not sure if this is related, but on occasion, I will get multiple copies of the same images from some of my email contacts.
Sometimes up to 5 or more copies of the same jpg image in a single email.
This may be related to the number of times the email has be “forwarded” prior to me recieving a copy.

Yes Clint, that is quite common. I think it has something to do with the way the e-mail copies and forwards the pics. Maybe somebody has an accurate explanation as to why this phenomenon happens.
