• Dynamic Access report? (AC2K SP3)

In my Access report, I have 10 fields listed for printing. But I don’t need to print all the fields all the time. I tried to use option buttons in a form for my users to choose which field values to print but it printed all the 10 fields all the time. Can I make my report dynamic in the sense that it only print those fields chosen, omitting or hiding those fields not wanted according to user’s choice and at the same time leaving no empty spaces for fields not chosen?

Look at the events for the detail section of your report and modify the visibility of the fields you want to hide. Experiment with the various ones until you get the behaviour you want.
Are the gaps horizontal or vertical? At the same point you may be able to alter LEFT and TOP values of the control.

Thanks for your suggestion. I am working on it. BTW, the gap is horizontal as my printout contains rows of individual records, and each record has 10 fields.

OK You should be able to reposition them.
Also note that the left value is in TWIPS. There are (if I remember correctly) 1440 to the inch and 567 to the cm.
