I purchased a Fujitsu Siemans Scaleo 600 PC (1.9Ghz with 80gb disk, 512mb Menmory, CD-Rewriter/player and DVD-ROM 2 years ago. I then installed a DVD-RAM player/re-writer from a company called Mirror Products. Software supplied for re-writing is from a German company called VOB and is called Instant CD-DVD, version 6.5.

It plays commercial DVD’s fine but when creating a project within Instant CD-DVD to convert mpeg video files to the format for writing to a DVD re-cordable disk, it gives the following error messages:

Access violation at address 005D289D in module “instantvideo.exe” Read of Address 01BEC000″

The instruction at 0x77f51baa referenced memory at 0x00000010 – The memory could not be written.

Would anyone be able to offer any light on this subject

When you look in Event Viewer at the time you’re getting these errors do you get any helpful ancillary error info? Start>Run>eventvwr.msc>services/applications>stretch out the box>look for similar errors>left click open or right click properties.

Is there any helpful information at the DVD/CD Rom Drives entry in Device Manager? Windows+Pause Break to System Properties>Device Manager How about on the driver tabs of the DVD and CD players?

Do you have up-to-date drivers? Have you check for updated software from VOB – many times software that is supplied with hardware is somewhat old and has been updated.
