I hope this is the correct forum, my question is fairly simple.
Is there a minimum burn capacity for DVD-R disks? I tried to burn about 100Mbytes to a DVD-R disk both went through the process but the disk could not be read. I changed to a DVD+R and burnt without problem.
I can recall that somewhere I read that there was a minimum to burn to a DVD-R

Not sure if this is helpfule, but a bit of searching brings up something called “DVD High Compatibility Mode” – see the last paragraph in this article and the reply in this thread.

Thanks Lief, althought I do not completely understand it appears as thought there is a minimum data capacity. I have two identical burners on the system, three burning programs all with the same results. On DVD+R I can burn the data at maximum speed. I think I have tried every permutation.
I wish I could find the original document.
