Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
Still specifying the new system, I will have 2 X DVD drives, currently I have A Yamaha (CD) and LiteOn DVD to my horror today I found the LiteOn is not fully Mt. Rainer CD-RW compatible (read only will not write or format).
I would like Multi Zone, Dual Layer, Mt Rainer compatible (read and write)
Am I asking too much, if not what drive meets my requirements

To my limited knowledge, your limiting factor will be MultiZone option for R/W on a Dual Layer DVD. I have tried finding one for some time. The only reference I eventually got was for a commercial unit costing several thousand dollars.
On the machine for my friend from Germany, I installed two players with different zones per player. With the cost of players dropping (less than $50 for DVD DL R/W Drive), this seemed like the best solution.
