I recently purchased a Macbook and downloaded the DDG add-on, but when I read the permissions (access to all data entered on all websites, including passwords!), I removed it. I know many apps such as these, e.g. Ublock origin, Privacy Badger, etc. are/can be beneficial for users, but I just can’t get past giving access to my passwords! So I am using Safari, with its privacy settings and I try to do most of my browsing on IOS.
I have been using DDG on my IOS devices. The privacy notice on the App does not include access to websites/passwords – I am not tech-savvy, so I don’t understand why it is that way on Mac add on but not the iOS app. Am I correct to assume that the app doesn’t have access to my passwords/website data that is entered????
What are you all doing to protect your privacy while browsing? thanks! Donna
