• Dual Monitors & Missing Windows

I’m running two monitors (one @ 1600 x 1200, and the other @ 1024 x 768). My problem is that I have a copy of the volume controls open (Master Out on the task bar) and it is not visible. I think that I somehow moved the window out of the desktop range.

It would be easy to retrieve the errant window by simply increasing the resolution of each monitor but they are already at their highest settings. Closing the program doesn’t help because it remembers to redraw it the last location it was opened. Unfortunately, that is off the screen.

    Any ideas on this one?

      Hi Zeno
I’ve never had a problem with windows not being visible at all but do run into situations where the window title bar is outside the desktop and thus not usable for closing ,moving or sizing etc. When this has happened I use alt + space bar which opens the window resizing menu (you’ll need to ensure that the invisible window is the active window when you do this), click the down arrow once to choose “move”, hit enter, then use the arrow keys to move the window to a place where it is again totally visible. Like I said, this is easier if you can see the window at least a little, but maybe it will help.

      good luck

Try right-clicking the TASKBAR and rearrange your windows either cascade, horizontally or vertically. From there you could drag and then resize the windows.
