I would like to install WIN XP but would like to retain my WIN 98 SE also. Is it possible to set up a dual boot process for this? Where can I find information on doing this?

      Hey Trebor,

If you already have Windows 98 installed, Windows XP will set up a dual boot for you by itself. When you run XP setup, you simply tell it not to upgrade and to do a clean install. As a little added note, I would also make sure you click on the Advanced button and tell XP that you want to ‘Choose the installation partition during setup.’

      Yes, it’s really that easy!

Yes, it is possible. Windows XP acts exactly like Windows 2000 in this case.

See or Full Guide to OS Dual Booting for step-by-step instructions, presuming “XP” everywhere instead of “2000”.
