It appears that DSLReports is dead. There is a replacement site that has just started up called Broadband Bulletin.

ETA Tip: I had trouble registering with Firefox, but I was able to register with Chrome. I can now login with FF.

Wow — a flash from the past! I had no idea that DSLReports no longer exists; it held a wealth of knowledge. Many was the time I accessed it (starting in 2006) and was participating as recently as 2018, after Verizon bought AOL to use its servers.

Thanks for the heads up, @PL1! I’m still using DSL (!) and will likely sign up.

DSL Reports used to be called Broadband Reports far enough back in the day after which the sites merged into just DSL Reports.

Thanks for helping me clear out some cobwebs, @PL1!

Thats terrible news. Maybe as bad as ChowHound going the way of the Dodo. I have been planning to visit the site to ask a question about FiosTV to the ‘direct’ forum which was monitored by Verizon Techs.

Just no good customer service anywhere anymore 😫😖

You left out the word “free” – and the one notable exception, here!  🙂

My memories of DSL Reports aren’t nearly as fond as others’. One of the few times I visited, about twenty years ago, I went in to post a question regarding VCR technology in whatever sub-forum covered that stuff. I was greeted by mockery and sarcasm from most of the participants, including even the “moderator” who seemed to be leading the mob against someone who was still using that technology. My posts in defense met with even more intense vitriol, when they did not simply disappear.

Never went back into that abhorrent site. I am sorry, not that they went kaput, but that it did not happen much sooner.

Wow, @Cybertooth — that’s incredibly horrible that they were so mean to you! I don’t blame you for feeling that way, and I hope you found another resource that was helpful.

A 20 year old bad experience in a sub forum should hardly condemn a whole forum.
Tell where else I can find such a wealth of information if you know of one.

I started out on DSL Reports over 20 years ago. I always posted in the Wireless ISP (WISP) forum.

      Its been archived here:
