I have Visio 2010 installed on my win7 system and I’d like to install it on my new win10 system. My problem is likely a typical one when moving to a new system: I can’t find the CD that Visio came on. I do have the product key [of course: pulled out of my win7 system] but I cannot find a place to download the installer. I’ve been going around and around on the MS & Office sites where they *claim* you can download the executables, but each just refers me to the other [office sends me to MS and MS sends me to office]. SO: anyone know a place where I can download a safe copy of Visio 2010. thanks!

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody MVPMay 17, 2019 at 4:25 pm #1661962The Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool from Heidoc.net will let you download the ISO for Visio Premium 2010 if that’s what your own version is. You’ll need .NET4.x installed for the tool to work and will have to wait for a video viewing to complete before using the tool.
If your version is NOT the Premium version then you can try a ‘Technology Guarantee’ version (whatever they are) but there’s no guarantee your product key will work.
As explained in another post on AskWoody. the downloads are actually from Microsoft… the tool just provides the mechanism for calculating the direct download link (which MS now hide since divorcing from Digital River).
Hope this helps..

Thanks for the info. Two problems, alas, First, I have Visio Professional 2010. Second I tried both of the Visio’s in the list and for both I got
Error: This file is currently not available… So it looks like there’s no way to get Visio. I’ve searched through a dozen sites purporting to have it available but no luck. At least two downloaded .exe files that I wasn’t interested running. Looks like, for the time being, I’m out of luck on my new computer

Which should work according to:
“(For Visio 2010 or 2007, follow the steps in Office 2010 or Office 2007.)”
Install Visio
