    Hello,

Websites are physically stored in hierarchical filing tree structures.
A bit like how operating systems store files in folder & there are levels.

My Q. is: is there a way with IE6 (and maybe an extra tool) to click a link & download for offline browsing all the content below that link?

    Take for example: http://www.microsoft.com/security/

So I’d like to download everything under “/security/” to a specified folder.

Then I’d like to burn that to a CD.

How can I do all that? Pls. help.

    Thanks v. much.

A long time ago I used a stipped down version of Adobe Acrobat 4.0 known as “Business Tools.” It let you capture entire directories of web sites into a PDF file (you told it how many links to follow and whether to follow offsite links). This led to lots of random pages from other folders being captured as long as they were under the same URL. Not the most useful way to do it.

I’m sure there are programs that will do this in HTML, but I’m not aware of any of them.

There was some freeware on the Web: SiteSnagger and WebLeech come to mind. I don’t know whether they’re still available, but you could try running a search in Google.
