    is there a way to force WinMe to open in DosMode, rather than using a dos window.

      In ME, DOS has officially been buried. There really is no way to do it – and even if you use a DOS boot disk chances are high that you will not be able to see your drives. This happens when ME is set up clean on a hard drive….quite the bummer.

      There are some hacks around on the ‘net that will enable DOS support in ME, but I wouldn’t trust ’em!
