According to what I see in the WSUS, there was no re-release of the KB3146706 or its metadata. It is likely that Microsoft received enough feedback to considered the patch safe enough, so they made it checked by default. In addition the re-release is at the documentation level with the extra details added.
If it is the correct decision taken by Microsoft, it is too early to say.

The MS EMET Team have not responded as yet. Until they do the situation will remain unclear. Currently if you have EMET 5.5 installed and you find that certain applications are crashing after having applied this update, the best thing to do is to remove the tick for EAF in EMET for that application and reboot, then open the application to make sure it is working. The other obvious alternative is to uninstall the KB. Reboot. After uninstall it will come back as ticked – remove the tick and let it sit there until MS gets its act together.

This update totally makes gaming on Windows 7 suck.
Even browser games like slitherio lag like crap with this OLE update installed.

Try playing a game before and after this patch, it makes game lag and studder horribly.

      AVOID IT
