Documents created read only (Word 2007)

Hello all loungers

Has anybody encountered the following:

Template based documents created as read only.

Templates are located in a startup directory on a network location.

It seems to only occur in word 2007 with .dotm.

We do not see this with Word 2003 .dot in the same location.

Confused I am.

Do you have Network Magic from Pure Networks? There are some reports that this causes the behavior that you describe.

Also check if you have add-ins active in Word 2007. If so, try to deactivate them to see if the problem disappears.
