Can you create a “note” or comment that shows for me as the author but does not show when someone else opens the worksheet?

I tried the comments field and said “show comment,” but then everyone who opens it can read the comment. Any other ideas? Thank you.

There is no built-in provision for this in Excel. Perhaps it could be done using VBA code, but it would be relatively easy to get around.

It’s probably best to keep a private copy of the workbook with your comments.
