This problem has me well confused, so if anyone can shed some light, I’d be very grateful
– we have three PC at home, upgraded to XP Pro
– decided to try out wireless (cabling the house is difficult)
– installed the Netgear Access point on one PC, wireless PCMCIA cards on the other two (they’re laptops)
Seemed to work, I could see the two laptops.
Week or so later, now I can’t
– recent change was I tried to set the main PC to allow others to use it to link to the Internet via the ISDN card
Had a look at the setting (of which I have a limited understanding), and the first thing I noticed was the Client for Microsoft and File Sharing were both unchecked, so I checked them, but I get an warning that this selection will disable the Client and File sharing
– this is well weird, I’m selecting them yet the warning is that this will disable them
One laptop was new, so I reinstalled and it worked, but now it’s gone again
Other thing is the Netgear driver isn’t Windows XP certified ??
