Is there a way to prevent users from disabling an Outlook add-in?

Some users are disabling Spam Bayes rather than taking the time to train it, and I would like to be able to prevent this from happening.

Workstations use XP Pro and log onto Small Business Server 2003.

AFAIK you can’t actually lock down an add-in installation. OTOH you should be able to run a logon script that ensures that the Add-In is loaded on first use every day. From memory, there is a Registry Key which monitors whether an Add-In is enabled or disabled. While this may not catch everybody, it should certainly reduce the number of EUs disabling it. HTH

These must be the users who aren’t getting very much spam. I know that with some spam software, the database of learned bad email can be replaced with one from a different computer. While no two people will receive exactly the same spam, it does seem to re-invent itself in waves. So the truly lazy might benefit from copying someone else’s database.
