I have a user who is continually frustrated with his mouse scroll wheel causing a form to move from record-to-record rather than scroll the text within a scrollable text box. Is there an application, form, or text box control property that controls this or is there a way to programmatically (i.e., via VBA) disable the mouse scroll wheel from within Access?

Stephen Lebans has a free download on his website: MouseWheelOnOff.
It contains a DLL with a function that you can use in your databases to turn the mouse wheel on and off.
It also contains a sample database that demonstrates how to use the function.

You’ll have to place the DLL on your PC to test, and the user will have to place it on their PC.

        Hans & Jezza,

Thanks to you both. Between the two options, it looks like I can solve his problem!!
