Disable F1 Help in menu? (A2K SR1)

If a menu item is highlighted in a drop-down menu, and if F1 help key is pressed, the default Microsoft Help will be activated. Can I deactivate this behaviour?

Another alternative, my program has a help file which will be activated in a form on pressing F1. Can I display my help topic instead when a menu item is highlighted and F1 (not shift F1) is pressed?

You can write custom help for an Access application that will work within the help file structure, but it takes some experience with the Help system to get it down pat (MS doesn’t seem to have yet either). Taking that approach avoids having to jump through hoops to disable or reassign keys.

The HelpContextID property of objects, including forms, reports and controls (including menubar controls), determines the specific article that pops up when you press F1. The HelpFile property of forms and reports and menubar controls determines the help file itself.

I might not have made myself clear. The HelpFile and HelpContextID work for forms and reports but it doesn’t works for menubar controls, at least for my program. In a highlighted drop-down menu of my program, when I pressed F1, the default Access help was displayed. Only when I pressed Shift F1 does the program’s Help file was accessed according to the HelpFile and HelpContextID set. However, only the title of the help file designated by the HelpContextID was displayed, not the body of the Help topic. My help file was prepared using Microsoft Help Workshop 4.03.

If I read the on-line help correctly, the HelpFile property works only for form or report only. It works differently (needs Shift F1 instead of F1) for menubar controls.
