I am using OE 5.5 and Windows 95. When sending e-mail I have recently been getting a message which tells me that I do not have a digital ID, that my message will be sent but I will not be able to read it in the sent items folder. I never attempted to get a digital ID and have only recently struck this problem. How do I get rid of this so that I can send messages normally and be able to read them in my sent items folder?

Go to Tools | select security and deselect the encryption options

Do you mean Tools/Options/Security? If so, I have gone there and no encryption options have ever been selected.

This is not for windows 95 – but perhaps you can find similiar options in your OS.
I do not have a 95 computer on my network.

Go to start | run and type regedit and go to

          HKEY_CURRENT_ USERSoftwareMicrosoftSystem CertificatesMyCertificates

and delete all keys listed in right pane.

Back up your registry before making any of the above changes.
(To backup registry click on my computer from regedit then select file | export and save to a backup directory.)

From Internet Explorer go to Tools | internet options | content |certificates | personal
          remove certificates from here.

          Reboot – now test OE.

In the registry there are no keys in the right pane you specified. In IE there are no personal certificates.

Can you isolate this to particular recipients? Do those recipients have any digital signatures or other weird security notations in your address book?

It seems it may be related to one particular person. However, this person has no digital signature or other security notations in my address book. Everything seems normal there.
