In Windows/fonts I have postscript and TTF fonts but only TTF fonts appear in the Word font selector drop-down
Why can’t Word see all the fonts, and where do the others get used – I’m confused and having been asked the question can’t find the answer – can someone enlighten me?
    thanks

Is your default printer a PostScript printer? If not, it can’t use the PostScript fonts, and hence those fonts will not be listed in the fonts dropdown list in Word.
