    DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A97 & A2K – NBS

    Using Access 2000 (9.0.4402) SR-1

Recently converted from Access 97 to Access 2000 and noticed some operational differences:

    1. When opening a from or report in design view just to review code, when I close the object, sometimes I get “Do you want to save changes to the design of form/report” message. I get this message even if I know that for sure I made no changes.

Any feedback? Did not notice this with a97.

    2. It seems on some of the some operations, save, etc., there is no hour glass, just arrow pointer displaying while object is being saved.

Any feedback? Did not notice this with a97.

    Thanks, John Graves

Yes, you’ll always get this message in Access2000 after viewing code…it assumes modifications have been made.
