I don’t see any official announcement of a re-release, but as @mn- notes, two of the files in the KB now have March 12 datestamps on them. File name F

Windows - commercial by definition and now function...

Based on above the KB applies to Windows 10 1607, 1703, 1709, 1803.

Since I have Quality Updates delayed for 7 days:

How is this KB to be received?

With the regular March monthly update via Windows Updater?

          Or only for “seekers”?

If it comes via the Windows Updater, should we hide?

If you want to upgrade to the next version of Win10, welcome it with open arms.

If you don’t, hide it (every time it comes around, because there are usually multiple versions of upgrade facilitators with the same KB number).

              PK thanks.

Am I to assume it will arrive via the Windows 10 Updater as a separate KB along with the March update KB4489868 (ver 1803)?

            Words in the support information

These latest components make sure that the latest Cumulative Update is installed seamlessly to improve the reliability and security of Windows 10

That’s MS lawyers hitting home runs. Sounds good. Means nothing.

Did they pull this KB already?  It’s not in the MS Update Catalog.

I don’t think it published to the catalog, like all other UFs 😀

KB4023057 availability through the catalog was a first

I applied this patch  days ago when it showed up in my windows updates waiting to be applied.  I run Windows 10 PRO on a Dell XPS8930 and have been on version 1809 since November.  The patch seems to have caused NO trouble for me.  I have no idea what it did.

I have FEATURES and QUALITY patches both deferred for many days.

I have still not yet received this KB4480730?

Will this come down the Windows Updater chute at some point?

My system is set at Semi-Annual Channel (not Targeted) and Group Policy > Windows Updates on 2 (Ask).

Perhaps answering my own question, but creating a few more, I found this statement at Microsoft Support for KB4480730

This update is available through Windows Update. It will be downloaded and installed automatically to Windows 10 devices which haven’t installed the most recent Cumulative Update in a timely manner.

Now, what does “timely manner” mean?  And does it mean that the most recent Cumulative Update already includes whatever is in KB4480730 therefore not necessary?

      I recently upgraded from Win 10 Home v 1709 to 1803 (posting: https://www.askwoody.com/forums/topic/wushowhide-1809/#post-338709).
I had KB4480730 hidden as per PK’s advice (along with KB4023057). I check every couple of days to make sure they are still hidden and to see if anything else (like V1809 or 1903) is available to hide.
Today I found KB4023057 gone from my hidden updates, and available to be hidden (nothing else to be hidden); and KB4480730 completely gone. It does not show up as an installed update (in Control Panel/View Updates or in Settings/Update History). So, that means they pushed it and completely ignored the flag to hide it. (I also have metered connection set and that has worked pretty well until today.)
I have found 1803 to be REALLY slow to start – main boot up speed hasn’t changed, but after logging in to local account it is really slow and grinds away before it brings up the taskbar, and apps I click on take forever to start. I have tried turning off ‘fast start’ as recommended in other tech articles, have been trying to watch task manager, but it starts too slowly too. I’ve tried reconfiguring the search indexer, and then shutting it off, disabling start up apps (none of them were critical). 1709 was much faster.
Any advice on other things to look into (keeping in mind this is the home version)? Would gettin reports from PerfMon help? Is there a good primer on that tool somewhere?
Or, do I go forwards and upgrade to 1809??? I got the impression it wasn’t very stable yet.
