• Dialog properties (2002 SP3)

Does anyone know where all the properties that can be get/set for the various Word dialogs are documented?

For Example ones available with With Dialogs(wdDialogFileSaveAs) or Dialogs(wdDialogFileSummaryInfo or Dialogs(wdDialogFilePageSetup)

A page on MVPS.ORG ends with “But at least with the aid of the WordBasic Help file you can find out what the dialogs are meant to do!”, but I cannot find the help for the individual dialogs.

In the online help for Word VBA, type dialog in the Answer Wizard or Index, and press Enter.
The third topic will be “Built-in Dialog Box Argument Lists”.
However, this only lists the arguments, it does not explain what they do – see screenshot.

You can download the old Word 95 WordBasic help file here. It provides much more detailed help about the dialogs than the VBA help. Of course, features added in later versions of Word are not covered, but it is still useful.

        Hi Hans,

        Two questions spring to mind:

        1. The online help that I am used to does not have an answer wizard. Can you point me to the one that you are looking at?
        2. What screenshot?

          2. Already repaired one minute after I posted (I fell into the old trap of previewing my reply and forgetting to re-enter the attachment.)
          1. See screenshot in previous reply grin.
