Can anyone help.

Recently, all the shortcuts on my desktop have been changed by something.somebody. Each shortcut has in addition to the original icon, a CD superimposed on it. If a create a new one, it will have a CD on it. If I copy, the same.

I’ve no idea what changes I’ve made made, as I do not keep a record, and others have been on the system.

I run Ad-aware every day, Mcafee is up-to date & run every day, and I can’t think of anything else.

Any ideas how to get rid of this. Hope you can help.

My money is on a corrupt ShellIconCache – find it and delete it, it will be rebuilt at the next reboot.
