When I open my workbook I get a message that I have automatic links to another workbook and it gives me the option of updating them or not. I have copied a couple of the worksheets from another workbook, but I did not link them that I know of. In searching other posts I found a microsoft utility to delete links and another one that is an add-in to search for and delete links. I’ve tried both of these. The second one seems to find several links. However, after telling it to delete the links, I can close and reopen the workbook only to find the automatic link dialog box there again. Any suggestions?

If the worksheet contained links to other sheets or defined names that referred to other sheets, you will get external links. Get Bill Manville’s FindLink utility to help find them.
