    While installing SP1, I selected the option to to “archive files”. These files occupy some 220 Mb in WINDOWS$NTServicePackUninstall$.

    I am now happy with SP1 and wish to remove the archived files. What is the safest way to do this?

      You should be able to simply delete the folder containing the Service Pack uninstall files. I did and it worked fine.
